Overview

Located at a high altitude of 15,485 ft. Kedar Tal is one of the most beautiful glacial lakes in the world. The lake is surrounded by a mesmerizing 360 degrees view of the major peaks like Manda, Bhagirathi, Gangotri, Bhrigupanth, Mt. Meru and Thalay Sagar. The lake captures the beautiful reflection of Mt. Thalay Sagar. The lake sits perfectly in the barren landscape with white snow clad mountains in the background.

Kedar Tal Trek is considered to be a difficult trek because of the rocky trails, boulder zones, steep ascends and thin ledges. The path is complicated and keeps getting difficult as we get closer to our destination. Therefore, if you are an experienced trekker, you should definitely embark upon this journey.
